1) Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using this website (the “Site”), reading any story content, downloading any materials, or interacting with any token-related information, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

  • “We”, “our”, “Broken Oaths” refers to the brand and its publishing presence.
  • “You” refers to any visitor, reader, community member, or token holder.
  • “Content” includes text, images, illustrations, lore, codex entries, and downloadable files.

2) Eligibility

You must be able to form a legally binding agreement in your jurisdiction. If you are under the age required by your local laws to use crypto services or purchase digital products, you may not use token features or purchase the ebook.

  • You are responsible for complying with local laws, regulations, and restrictions.
  • We do not provide legal advice and do not verify your eligibility.

3) The Story & The Token

Broken Oaths is built with a core creative principle: if you remove the token, the story still stands; if you remove the story, the token loses meaning. The Site may include references to a token, roadmap thresholds, burns, gated chapter releases, and community-driven milestones.

  • The story is a creative work. The token (if referenced) is a speculative digital asset.
  • Holding a token does not grant ownership of the story, characters, or IP.
  • Nothing on this Site guarantees future updates, listings, liquidity, price, or utility.

4) No Financial Advice

Nothing on the Site constitutes investment advice, financial advice, trading advice, or a recommendation. Any references to token mechanics, milestones, or market events are informational and narrative-driven. You are solely responsible for your decisions.

  • Crypto assets are highly volatile and can lose all value.
  • Do not risk money you cannot afford to lose.
  • Consult qualified professionals if needed.

5) Risk Disclosure

By engaging with any token-related content, you acknowledge risks including (but not limited to) market volatility, smart contract bugs, hacks, exploits, liquidity risk, regulatory changes, and third-party failures.

  • Token availability and trading depend on third-party platforms and market participants.
  • Milestone-based releases are targets, not guarantees.
  • Network congestion, fees, outages, and chain risks may affect access.

6) Access, Gating & Releases

Portions of the story may be released over time or unlocked based on community milestones (e.g., active addresses). We may publish chapters, translations, or special editions according to the roadmap described on the Site.

  • Milestones are measured using publicly available on-chain or platform data, which can be incomplete or delayed.
  • We may adjust milestone definitions to reduce manipulation, sybil behavior, or abusive activity.
  • We may pause, delay, or change releases for quality, safety, legal, or operational reasons.

7) Digital Products & Ebook Purchase

If the full book is offered as a paid digital product, purchases are subject to the checkout provider’s terms. Unless required by law, digital purchases are final once delivered or made accessible.

  • Pricing, availability, and formats may change without notice.
  • We may limit downloads, devices, or sharing to reduce piracy.
  • You may not resell, redistribute, or rehost paid content without permission.

8) Intellectual Property

All Content on the Site (including the Broken Oaths universe, lore, characters, names, illustrations, logos, and designs) is protected by copyright and other IP laws. All rights are reserved.

  • You may share links and short excerpts for commentary with attribution.
  • You may not copy, scrape, reproduce, or commercially exploit Content without written permission.
  • Fan art is allowed for non-commercial purposes if it follows the Brand Rules (see below).

9) Brand Rules (Community Use)

We want the community loud, creative, and consistent. By using our brand assets, you agree to:

  • Do not impersonate official accounts or claim partnership/endorsement without permission.
  • Do not alter character faces in a way that misrepresents the canon identity when presenting as “official”.
  • No hateful, illegal, or exploitative content using our name, visuals, or lore.
  • No misleading marketing (fake guarantees, fake “official” announcements, fake audits).
  • No text on generated images if you publish them as “official-style” artworks (canon guideline).

10) Prohibited Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Site for unlawful activity or to violate any applicable regulations.
  • Attempt to hack, scrape, overload, or disrupt the Site or its infrastructure.
  • Misrepresent milestones (sybil attacks, botting, address farming) to trigger releases or burns.
  • Post or distribute malware, phishing links, or scams in any Broken Oaths community channel.

11) Third-Party Services

The Site may link to third-party platforms (exchanges, explorers, marketplaces, social media, payment providers). We do not control these services and are not responsible for their availability, security, or accuracy.

  • Use third-party platforms at your own risk and read their terms.
  • We are not responsible for losses caused by third-party outages or compromises.

12) Disclaimers

The Site and Content are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

  • We do not guarantee roadmap milestones, token performance, or future availability.
  • We do not guarantee that any token will maintain liquidity or market value.

13) Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages, including loss of funds, profits, data, or reputation arising from: your use of the Site, reliance on Content, or participation in token markets.
